To a man the outdoors is something that we know will be there if we need to look outside. Sadly, with recent events, one cannot look out and see what they say years ago. That's why I am thankful for the opportunity I had when I went to Garner State Park. It changed my life completely. It was my first original experience outside and in the open. I went with family to discover a new journey of trees and open air. The weather, surroundings, and view was absolutely incredible. If I had the power to go back and visit everyday of my life I would. It was definitely an experience worth revisiting. I felt like chilling those mountains and rocks made me feel like I could do anything. There have been very little opportunities when I have felt on top of the world and that was certainly one of them. We need to preserve these wonderful God made attractions with a lot more care. I want to be able to take my children, even my children's children to Garner just to see if they can climb it like their old man could. The scenery and surroundings are only some of the beautiful facts about Garner. Being there with my family made it even better. The reason being was they could do it together. Some slip and fell climbing the mountain but we always had someone picking us right back up. It was like a no man left behind type of dedication. The funniest part was when I was suppose to be watching out for everyone and even I fell. That was quite embarrassing. I've grown to have a passion for Garner. Not a simple either. If I could preserve it by myself I most certainly would. Sadly one man can only do so much. I wonder if God will ever take me back one day or to my concern I wonder if it will look the same. Who knows? That memory will forever stay with me as the time I finally escalated up a mountain on the beautiful park of Garner.
Garner State Park has been a popular family destination point for decades.
